Liburdi GAPCO draws from a diverse selection of talent ranging from in-house mechanical, metallurgical and weld engineers. Our engineers are registered with the professional engineers Ontario, international welding engineer certification as well as CWB CSA W47.1 Division 1. Liburdi is known throughout the industry as pioneers in developing advanced materials technology, repairs and life extension. The Liburdi GAPCO operations includes a full metallographic materials lab, laser optical CMM, optical-microscopy, radiographic, ultrasonic, eddy current and magnetic particle inspection. Our factory is unique in that it has 2 overhead gantry cranes and one swing crane with 75 feet under the hook to handle full scale mock-ups of everything from Nuclear reactor main vessel component to Marine and Petrochemical Refinery structures. In house heat treatment, vacuum heat treatment, and induction heating is all available to Liburdi GAPCO along with a full machine shop and portable beveling.

In addition to world class materials testing and examination, Liburdi GAPCO’s mechanical engineering division can perform ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel analysis as well as computational weld mechanics to support the most challenging of emergent and planned repairs. Over the years Liburdi GAPCO has accumulated an extensive database of weld procedures and registered specifications.
